Yeah, the Taurus debuted in '86.

The SHO was 5-speed only from '89 (debut year) to '92, then from '93-'95
it was offered in either MTX or a slightly beefed-up version of the
4-speed ATX available in the non-SHO.  The Gen3's ('96-'99) were ONLY
offered in ATX -- a fact that disenfranchised a lot of SHOwners a
probably contributed to the end of the marque ('99 was the last model
year for the SHO).
