I bought Hervey's door struts at the Pigeon Forge show. They are strong. However, they do not slow down near the end of the lift like some others. Must be careful not to let them bang at full extension. Prior to installation, I thought the doors needed adjustment since new struts had been installed 3 years before.

  Yup, I'll chime in.  I have P. J. Grady struts on my car.  
  I tested 4 struts a while back.  P. J. Grady's, John Hervey's, 
  Delorean Motor Center (California) struts were all excellent choices. 
  Delorean Motor Company's were a little off, dimensionally in a very 
  bad way, but that's history as far as I know.  I believe they have 
  corrected that problem, so they should be excellent now, as well.  

  I'd buy my next struts from either of these four vendors, based on 
  geographics.
