RE: [DMCForum] Charley

I am not advocating that people should stand around shaking in their boots.

Prudent people will spend the time covering windows, raising things off of
the ground, tying things down and preparing themselves for the storm.  And
in some cases, that would included evacuating the area.  I have seen people
who will sit on the front porch with a six pack of Bud and bravely face the
storm.

Call me scared, but I will leave the area when a big one is bearing down on
me.

I'm to busy to die any time soon.

;)

Good point. Better to stay in constant fear than have a drink with your
friends and try to relax. "Hey, let's panic!"

You're partying with the wrong people if they get that drunk.

Good luck to you that are in the path of Charley.

Category 4 Storms are serious business.

The surge has been projected to be as high as 18 feet and winds approaching
140 MPH.

Hurricane parties are indeed a dangerous event.

Rather than focusing on what they can do to protect life and property,
people sit around and drink themselves silly.

I think that Hurricane parties are for those who do not think life is worth
living.

My $0.02

Around here, people have hurricane parties. Have you started yours yet? :)

They say there's nothing quite like sitting on the front porch sipping a
drink and watching the rain go sideways.
