I have heard related stories.  I was referring to the real farmer's markets
where the people who actually grew the stuff then sold it.  Living where I
do, it is easy to find out who is selling what they really grew and who
didn't if you talk to a few country folk.

Most 'health food stores' I have been to are just the same crap repackaged
and have the requisite 'Low Carb!' nomenclature with the doubled price.

Let's see what I can stir up with this related story -- a friend of mine
used to work at a health food store.  One day the girl who used to
sell them "organic" produce admitted that she was really fishing it
out of Safeway's dumpster every night.  caveat emptor................LP
