All these pics of Bill's Carb'd PRV have me feeling a little left out.
So, here're some pics of my Z7U turbo engine, taken during strip down.
Happy to report that the bottom end is all perfectly healthy, no nasty
surprises there! The sum total of work required as far as I can see now is:
Crank case and Sump to be swapped for DMC (renault 30) one - engine
mounts are the same as Bill's currently,
Extra oil return line for oil breather tank needs to be drilled into it.
Throttle linkage is going to be fun - it looks the same except the spool
rotates in the opposite direction
Re-work coolant pipes under intake for DeLorean (volvo 260) style.
Re-work intake plenums due to originals interfering with AC compressor.
Chargecooler
New crankshaft pulley to make drive for compressor the correct size, and
space it back a little.
Space compressor and idler pulleys SLIGHTLY.
Renault 25 bellhousing on my new gearbox due to requiring an ignition pickup
Emerald ECU and associated sensors
.... and apart from that, just the usual replace/refurb pretty much
everything. it won't look like that when I'm finished!
