RE: [DMCForum] Re: Time for a new political discussion...

"Allowing others to decide your fate"?  hmm...

I never said I haven't decided or was or was not voting.  Don't put words in
my email :)  I just don't get the point of voting for a lesser evil or for
someone you don't really like just because you dislike the other person
more.

I hear people say, "anyone but Bush".  So, ok, how about you or me?  Taken
literally that would mean the welfare recipient who sits home collecting a
check, but is able to work, could do a better job in office that Bush.
Really?

Yes, they are working for us and most of the government people I have
encountered in every day events I would fire if they were my employee.
Unfortunately they are also protected so if you make a complaint at the
local post office, for example, nothing will happen compared to doing the
same at your local Fed Ex office.  I am personally very tired of dealing
with people in governmental offices who make me wonder how the hell they
find their way to work each day.

Greg

PS - About voting mattering, most of the west coast didn't matter when
Klinton was re-elected if you remember watching the poll results that night.

As weak as the other parties are, not voting Democrat or Republican
or not voting at all is just allowing others to decide your fate.

Right now any vote for any party other than the Dem or Rep parties is
a throw away vote. This election is too important for that stuff.

And as far as not voting goes, I am so tired of people acting like
NOT voting is a way of protesting. The president down to your local
representatives are all your employees. You wouldn't deal with an
employee you didn't want by standing clear would you?

I am going to stay totally unbiased on the partisan talk because I
doubt I will sway anyone to my side, and no one is swaying me, so it
is kind of pointless. In fact it sounds like everyone on here has
already decided. Just make sure you follow through and vote.
