[DMCForum] Re: gas mileage

Eric,

It was great seeing you again. I hope we do it again soon. To answer
your question:

I drive a 5-spd and got 26 mpg on the way to PF, which for me was
mostly uphill. I paid 1.78/gal and the prices were pretty consistent
from I-66 all the way to PF. On the way home to Md, I got 28.7 mpg,
which I accredit to installing a K&N air filter and travelling
predominantly downhill.

At least it seemed to me to be mostly downhill towards Md. Walt Coe
drives an auto and he got about 24.something. Autos usually lag just a
bit behind the manuals due to weight and gearing differences. I hope
this helps.

Also, Mike Cohee handed off your lock module to me. I'll get it
soldered this week. I have the 10k ohm resistors but I need to go buy
some transistors. Email me your snail-mail addy offline so I can send
it back, or you can come pick it up if you're going to be in the area.
