Bill,

You don't have to defend yourself. Too many people in groups such as
this try to force you to adhere to their ways. Example, "You can't do
that to a DeLorean! How dare you!"

My response is simple: It's my car. I'll do with it what I please, and
I really don't care what you think about it.

My DeLorean is a daily driver and always will be. When the engine
blows up some day I'll try to fit a Northstar V8 in it's place. I'm
sorry, but I don't buy cars to park in the garage and take out every
third Sunday. I buy them to drive, and I'm going to enjoy mine while I
have it. If that means it's totally worthless some day, big whoop.
It's not an investment, it's a car, and cars are meant to be driven.

My point: Don't worry about people who give you crap about what you're
doing to your car. Who cares whether it's reversible or not. It's your
car, only you get a say in what happens to it. If you want to bolt a
set of antlers to the hood, have at it. All that matters is that you
like it.
