on 1860, I had to put the mirror back on.  Martin
brought me a set of "sicky pads" in Memphis.

My windshield (I dont think it is OEM) had no marking
on it whatsoever.

Using denatured alchohol, we cleaned the windshield
and the mounting point on the mirror.  Stuck the
sticky pad on the mirror, then on the the windshield. 
All done.

the stickypad is like double stick tape.
