Aluminum will not weld correctly in an oxygen-rich environment.  It will
oxidize... that's why they use the helium in the welding.

I got a TIG but not being a part on my car I would be really hesitant to try
it.  However I do have a friend in Tampa that would probably do it for a
case of Guinness.
