Re: [DMCForum] Moving right along...

I just read the thread from the kid wanting a DeLorean for his prom. I didn't see that he was demanding at all... seemed to be a typical classified ad. Agreed I'm against prostituting my car too. I'm glad to let people sit in, and ride in my car. I've even let a few people drive it... but there's no way I'd allow someone to move the car without me being around. If someone wants that much freedom with a DeLorean they can save up and buy one for themselves like the rest of us did.

Regarding the lovely Ed, I replied to the DML thread on him, but I see now the thread has been closed. I think it's really unfortunate that the moderators always chose to end threads like these because I think they're really important for all DeLorean owners and enthusiasts to read. We need to know to avoid people like Ed so that our DeLorean ownership experiences will be positive. I have a friend here in Charlotte who said he almost sold his DeLorean after he spoke with Ed Bernstein on the phone. He had just bought his car and needed something small and was told the usual BS "this is a premium vendor, we don't need your business, you won't affect my bottom line," etc etc etc. I just think it's unfortunate that Ed is out there continuing to degrade the DeLorean car and community. I figure with as negative as he is he'll keel over any time now from all the stress he creates for himself. -Louie

I am disappointed but will not enter into this latest debate. Has anyone read the DML lately? Specifically the two posts:

1. "Maddog" apparently tried to purchase something from DeLorean One
and was rebuffed. He had some pretty bad things to say about "Ed". I
agree with his point of view but I was suprised the moderator let it
through.

2. Did you read the post by the teeny-bopper who wants to rent a
DeLorean for his prom? For me, it was hilarious partially because I
found him to be demanding, and setting terms. IMHO, he's got a lot of
nerve. Who do we look like, "Hertz-rent-a-racer"?
