[DMCForum] More vinyl dye questions for Vixen Dave

Dave,

I had two cans of identical dye. When I did the door panels, they 
appeared a tad lighter than OEM. After a few days, they seemed 
to "cure" and are now IDENTICAL to the OEM color. I was very pleased.

I next dyed the knee bolsters and the glove box lid. These are 
definitely too light, (lighter than the door panels) and it doesn't 
seem like they will tone down to the OEM color. 

I cleaned everything meticulously. I shook the can vigorously. What 
did I do wrong?
