Re: [DMCForum] Bearing

Well if it is bad you might as well change the other side and the fronts.
With the bearings and front tube I am wondering if your car ever spent some
time sitting in salt water.

If you like the screw driver trick check out harborfreight item # 41966-0VGA

The hub has slop. 6-9 months ago, I checked the diff lube level
before Bill, Mike and I put the tranny back in. As I only have one,
tiny oil drip that's not the case.

The hub has slop and makes the rubbing noise when I rotate the hub
with the wheel off. I used a screwdriver like you suggested and I
hear it. (good tip BTW)

I've called around, I found a shop willing to press it in, but I
couldn't get there before they closed.

The only consolation for me in all of this, is that the same thing
never breaks meaning everything I fix, I fix right. I had an old war
buddy who was expecting me to visit too. I've managed to piss off
just about everybody today so now my day is complete.
