Do you remember my story about "Sniffles" I told a while back? Basically the same thing happened to me recently. I was loaned the car I currently own to go to the SEDOC meet as I had just been creamed by a Cadillac in my old DeLorean a week before. Well Bill's car decided to spring a coolant leak in a really rough part of Charlotte. I was approached by scads of extremely friendly vagrants while holding the flashlight for Bill while he patched his coolant hose. 

Then along came "Sniffles" and his posse who demanded to buy the car on the spot. He said he had to have the car right here an now, and he had the cash in his car to pay me. He didn't really ever ask if it was for sale or anything, he just demanded to buy it. After about 20 minutes of going back in forth I guess he just finally lost interest and told his buddies "come on, let's leave this shit and go to the club and get some sniffles." 

It was an interesting experience to say the least, and my first and only negative one. Everyone else has been so complimentary, friendly, and genuinely excited to see the car. I get people constantly who hang out windows of cars and hoot and holler giving me thumbs up, take pictures, motion for me to open the doors and stuff. I even give anyone a ride here on campus who approaches me. It really makes people's day to see the car, especially to sit in/ride in it. I figure I won't let the one bad experience ruin it for everyone else... I know how excited I was to see a DeLorean for the first time. So I go out of my way to be extra nice to anyone who approaches me about the car. -Louie
