Yup

I've taken mine out.  In fact I still have it.  It came out in one 
piece.  If I remember right, there's another wooden piece on the 
other side of the car.  I don't seem to have that one anymore.

If yours is toasted, you can have mine, if you pay for shipping.  I 
put it up for auction a few years ago and nobody wanted it.
