[DMCForum] Re: Delusional DeLo Owners

Delusional -- definitely.

We all know what were the best cars ever manufactured. Own several
copies myself. Yet here I am roaring up & down east coast in a fussy
little British sports car. Never makes a trip without some glitch or
other, yet the only time it ever put me walking was within mile of the
house.

Crazy thing is, DeLo's are surprisingly comfortable machines to travel
in. Many many years ago used to drive my AMC to DC. THAT was an
ordeal. Once Lincolns started propogating in driveway, vowed would
never drive up there in anything less. Last trip north in a Lincoln
was to buy DeLo. Little silver car has made every one since (truck
made one trip over Xmas).

Need to have my head examined.

BTW: Fall Foliage is coming up fast. If any southern owners want to
caravan with Louie and I, contact us before parade leaves town...

I mean really, they're the most aweful little machines when it comes
down to it. No matter how much people try to say DeLoreans are good
cars... they were lemons to start with. My parents bought a '02
Expedition in January, and they're already selling it now because it
has little electrical glitches and stuff. During the first couple
years of DeLorean ownership it's a struggle to even keep the cars
RUNNING. I guess that's why I didn't shed alligator tears when I lost
mine... it was a sort of love/hate relationship when it comes right
down to it. Yet here I am... already pining after another DeLorean
before I've even gotten my insurance money for the first one lol. I
guess all this means is that all of us are seriously delusional, yet
very dedicated people. :-)
