[DMCForum] Warp Speed Sulu! was: Full power problems



Ok, ok. I'm cookin' with gas now. I tinkered some more. You can really
dork with the CO screw a lot and still have the car start and even
idle well but drive like crap.

Drivability is where the super-sensitivity comes into play. The "sweet
spot" on that screw must be miniscule.

I now have a great idle, power enough to accelerate in 4th gear
uphill, and engine temperatures that make sense. I didn't go past the
mark in between 100 and 220, even when trapped at stop lights.

I didn't make it into 5th gear 'cause I'm still too chicken to take it
out on a major road.

I still feel I'm off a bit, but obviously I'm a lot closer.

Is the gearing super-tall on this thing? In 3rd I seemed to be going
-way- too fast for the semi-residential street I was on.
