Subject: [DMCForum] stainless coolant bottle
i ordered the stainless coolant bottle from houston and was ready to
take my old black metal one off my car. When I opened the box what i
received was...another black one....I mistakenly assumed that the one
on Rob's site and the one John Herveys shows on his site are the
shiny ss one. When I called Houston back to see about exchanging or
returning they said that they never sell the ss ones and thye get
metal ones and paint them black and that if I wanted mine shiny to
just to take the paint off....so my question is are the new ones that
rob sells stainless steel or aluminum? Houston seemed to think that
these bottles are all aluminum and that ss really is not desinged for
heat and for use as an overflow bottle...anyone care to clear this up?
