Rich - you won't see any movement to the shift linkage when lifting 
the stick. simply pull the leather boot around the stick and you'll 
see what pulling the stick will do.

I tried to adjust my shift linkage. Still no reverse. I discovered
what' s happening though (I think). When I lift up on the stick, it
doesn't appear that that action is being transmitted to the actual
shift linkage.
