[DMCForum] Martin's Freon

R413 eh? Must be metric freon.

Just kidding of course. But are you allowed to mention R134 in this
Group? Some owners respond very negatively to the concept.

BTW: just bought a case of R134 at NAPA for $2.50 a can (remember: I
AM doing fleet maintenance in the driveway). At that price doesn't
really justify lying on pavement trying to replace old O rings.

Have good luck with the stuff but have given up trying to convince
purists. Yes, R12 does perform even better (in a system so designed),
but also costs $200 per charge. In *TRIPLE DIGIT* weather R134 feels
great.

BBTW: Is something English sized on rear calipers related to parking
brake cable. Was more than a year ago, but distictly remember having
to go back into house to get a fractional wrench because none of the
metrics would fit.
