How convenient of you to volunteer as a shill. ;-)

I think you should have convex mirrors on your DeLorean because it makes
it
safer to drive. I think it has been a rule for several years now that all
cars sold in the US must have a convex mirror on the passenger side of
the
car. Many cars made for Europe also have convex mirrors on the driver's
side or a combination of part flat/part convex.

I have convex mirrors on both sides of my DeLorean, and the visibility is
great! Without looking over my shoulder, the continuity of view is
seamless
between my rearview mirror and convex passenger side mirror. There no
longer is a blind spot, and this is a DeLorean!

The type of convex mirror I am using gives the same type of view as you
would see in the passenger side mirror of any newer model car. The only
exception is that my mirrors are missing that stupid "objects in mirror
are
closer than they appear" message. But if you need to be constantly
reminded
this way then you probably shouldn't be driving a car anyways let alone be
allowed in public unsupervised.

I plan to offer these mirrors either individually or in pairs for
passenger
and drivers side in either convex or flat glass. Flat glass has been
fairly
easy to shape by hand, but I am having too much breakage cutting the
convex
glass. When I get caught up on other projects, (and when Kayo Ong sends
me
back my patterns!) I'm going to try another idea for cutting the glass
that
is sure to work. It's just a matter of setting up the equipment to make
the
first few mirrors this way and see if it actually works. If I cannot
afford
to sell these mirrors for $45 each or less then I'm only going to be
making
them as special favors. The old way takes about 1.5 hours per mirror, and
this gets rather monotonous for a hobby.

Meanwhile, can I interest you in a pair of Inconel 718 trailing arm bolts?
A pair is $46 plus shipping (& gratuity which is optional.) Otherwise I'm
selling them at cost.

Walt
