RE: [DMCForum] freq valve question

The frequency valve is part of the emissions system, remember, and not
buzzing equals more fuel. You are probably running a bit lean.

Subject: [DMCForum] freq valve question

as i troubleshoot my idle seeking/flucuation i have a question that i
never could find an absolute answer on the DML archives....i have heard
from several people on this but i wanted to hear the consensus....should
the frequency valve buzz non-stop when the engine is running? as i was
working on my idle after the car got warm my valve would buzz for 5
seconds and then stop for about 5 seconds and then buzz for about 5
seconds etc. i also noticed the idle would definatley try and improve
when it was buzzing.....

If the valve should buzz non stop what would casue it to work
intermittantly when the car warms up? i believe when i start the car and
it warms up it does buzz non-stop. it only does this when the car gets
warm....I changed my lambda relay back in december because David T.
suspected it when we worked on the car. I also know the electrical
connection in the plug can be loose since people tend to yank on these
plugs...
