[DMCForum] some answers

>>>1. How do you get the trunk to actually pop open when the lever is
pulled? Mine doesn't move so I have to lift it while pulling the
lever.<<<

Add a door popper, a cheap spring loaded device used to open doors.
See any website that sells shaved door kits.

>>>2. Any point in getting the original door lock solenoid rewound?
Or should I get an upgraded new one from PJ Grady? My passenger side
one is very weak.<<

They are not difficult to rewind but the original design has a flaw
in how the center tap gets it's ground. If you're ever inside your
solenoids I suggest you bring that connection to the outside. Many of
the soleniod failures I've seen are from internal corrosion to this
connection. (Water gets in the unit from bad window seals.) In fact,
someone recently rewound a solenoid and insulated it and then
wondered why it wouldn't work.
