Since we are on the topic of upholstery I was wondering if anyone has succesfully redone their passenger knee pad? When I bought my car the original owner had mounted one of those original circa 1980 car phone brackets on it. There were 4 screw holes that were very noticable and it was crushed in where the bracket was. Also, the top of the vinyl was beginning to dryrot and pull away. I took it off and bought a new one. I still have it and wondered if it has any value. It appears to simply be 1/2 inch carpet padding and black vinyl. wondering how much it costs to get a shop to redo or how much its worth.
