[DMCForum] A/C Compressor rebuild?

Is it possible to rebuild the A/C Compressor?  Is there a common 
component that goes out on these things?  What is the cost?  I'll be 
taking my bad one out soon, but don't want to throw it away if it 
can be rebuilt.
