Well then, I guess you won't be put in that position SINCE YOU NO LONGER OWN A DELOREAN! I see nothing wrong with someone trying to educate himself with a book now that he doesn't have to resort to "pioneering" to work on it. As for educating, I have taught many owners who, even after many years, do not know what tire pressure to put in, how to adjust the steering wheel, even how to drive the car! Many new owners now want to buy a Delorean and learn how to fix it up and know little to nothing about how to work on automobiles. Some are successful, others less so. A lot has to do with time available and finances. They see a shiny car and think, "From the outside it looks pretty good". Little do they know how it rots underneath and inside.
