Re: [DML] A message to prospective DeLorean owners..do not show up with a book..

Okay, not sure what the difference is. Obviously, you're going to need to
read the book before you check out any potential car, or you won't know
what pages to flip through in the book, so you're going to have the
knowledge as well.

Personally, if anyone wants to come buy one of my cars, and comes with a
book in hand, that's no problem with me or any other honest seller.

I'd see bringing the book as a good tool to weed out dishonest sellers, as
if they get nervous when you start looking at the book as a reminder to
look for certain things, and the Delorean they want doesn't check out and
they are trying to hide it.

However, any truly honest seller would have no problem with you asking
questions, be it from a book, a notepad, clipboard, or a Delorean friend
you bring along to inspect the car with you. Only dishonest sellers will
take issue with it, and if bringing the book brings out the bad in them,
I'm guessing the car will be a pass anyways.

In short, I don't foresee any reasonable, honest, decent seller turning
away or otherwise being offensive to a serious potential buyer regardless
of bringing this book with them or not.
