Despite your brilliant observation of the BTTF movie trilogy, I have never met any one who thought the Delorean was a clunker. I have shown my car since 1993 to thousands of people. All they care about is where the flux capacitor is. You are right that the BTTF movies depicted the Delorean as a clunker of sorts. But I think the over riding theme of the trilogy was focused more on how cool the car was and how it can do time travel. I'm glad we have a car that was made famous via the movies.
