[DML] Re: New window

Be aware that most glass shops WILL NOT be responsible if they crack the windshield while installing it, Yes, they crack it ...tough luck...had that situation happen to me...

I removed the cracked windshield and cleaned everything, all they had to do was the install ...did they do it on purpose to sell me a "new" windshield...I don't know..anyways they wound up installing one of their windshield's at half price..since they did crack my windshield...

BTW this was on a late 90's Camaro..

But I did R&R a windshield on Vin 16686 in 1987 or 88..it was no different than installing on any other car. as far as I remember and as far as I know 16686 still has that windshield in place somewhere still driving around in the U.K.

If the roof cage has drooped in the front due to the glass or other issues, you may need to lift the front back up and hold it there while setting the glass.
