Re: [DML] Photos: DeLorean Lower Steering Geometry

Message #85260. This is the second time I've told you to read it. Inability to use a traditional flex coupling is explained in full detail there. If you are going to stubbornly refuse to read the message in which my first experiment is explained, your confusion is no one's fault but your own.

You have already admitted that you are opposed to this project. Why then do you continue to follow its progress? Are you hoping for eventual failure? Hate to disappoint you, but the column I am going to fab up next week likely will work perfectly because it will be identical to a Toby columns, sourced from the exact same manufacturer -- just with the added benefit of a vibration reducing U joint at one end.

An owner who *DOES* support this project has eMailed me that if clearance allows (I need to get my hands on one to make sure), he may use two vibration reducing U joints -- one at either end. I am only using one vibration reducing U joint because I already have two regular U joints on hand: one will be used on #5939 and one will be used on #2508.

Kind of hard to imagine how anyone could argue against a Tobyesque column with vibration reducing U joints -- unless they are just being obstreperous, or unless they are mad because the column is purchased directly from Borgeson rather than from them as a middle man.
