Once that pivot bolt breaks you are STUCK! Every owner with a 5-speed should have an extra pivot bolt kept in the car as a spare. I DID say he might need to open the transmission and do the roll pins but if you review my post you will see I did say to do adjustments and lubrication first. If that did not cure the problem he WOULD be going into the transmission. Bottom line-If you have to force something it is usually best to figure out what's wrong and fix it BEFORE it breaks and is a bigger (read more expensive) job to fix.
