Point taken, Pete. Part of my problem is that I work with this subject
matter all day long, and through my work with the DeLorean Museum, it also
consumes a good portion of my "free time", as well. I often mistakenly
presume that "everyone" reads the various DeLorean mags, websites and
forums where this "found" information is published.

This link talks about these cars, and contains scans of many factory
documents that specifically reference these "Middle East" cars.

Alistair Vanstone and I have worked together for several years to uncover
the history of these officially exported cars.

Well, yeah, James, I agree with the sentiment. The trouble is that your
"just so" claim that Bill's snippet is inaccurate seems to me to be just as
"absolute" as Bill's original claim. It isn't people's random claims that
make forum discussions interesting, it is claims backed by evidence. You
would appear to be in a better position than Bill to know the facts on this
one, but unless you share some data, it is a little hard to judge.
