[DML] Re: More so called "facts"..

A Volvo pulley fits:

I've been driving around on the damn thing for a couple of years now (ever since you first insisted that it wouldn't). Live with it.

I may not be an engineer, but I do a reasonable impression of an experimenter/innovator. I am not bound by dogma or blinded by ideology. I can clearly see these little cars for what they are, and what they are not. And I am not afraid to fix anything the nice boys in Hethel got wrong.

BTW: Forgot to mention that Martin also insisted that I couldn't turn my headlight brackets/buckets upside down. That too is incorrect:

Both of my cars now have this mod.

Also, I may not be an engineer, but I do a reasonable impression of a fabricator:

Surely the ability to create an intake manifold from scratch (12 times, plus 6 adapters for sand cast manifolds) has to be worth something, even in your prejudiced eyes.

The strength of a structure must be ascertained on its own merits, not just on the material it's made from. Why do aluminium-framed mountain bikes use larger diameter tubing than steel framed bikes for example?

He swore the exhaust system emptied into the left side of the muffler until I cut one open. The only way Martin will accept anything he disagrees with is for me to do it to my own car.
