No vehicle built after 1985 is even worth gas money.

IMHO.

Here's a good question: I use vehicles that are 30-35 years old as daily transportation, and regularly drive them 1,000+ miles on trips. Can you seriously imagine anything built in the year 2012 still being used as daily transportation by the middle of this century? We've crossed the Rubicon as far as vehicle longevity is concerned. Vehicles now are as disposable as diapers. That is why they all look so drab and uninspired -- vehicles are no longer meant to kept as treasured possessions. You use them up in a couple of years then throw them away.
