Ah so you with your legs are capable of applying the same kind of force as a 1200kg car braking hard?

The ARB is a spring, but it isn't loaded from side to side, so your point is moot.

I tried to move the LCA fore/aft before swaybar installation. Even pushing against it with my legs I could not make it budge. It may not be as inflexible as a true wishbone, but it's pretty damn close.

Our swaybars are more flexible than Lotus swaybars simply due to the bend angle: ours are bent ~45 degrees while Lotus' are bent 90 degrees. If you ever stand a DeLorean swaybar on end and pull down on it, you will be surprised how bendy it is.

I turned my swaybar bushings around backwards (meaty part to the rear) so the bar pushes into an empty space as the LCA moves up & down. And I'm using rubber bushings rather than polyurethane for added squish.

Given the number of Uding brackets in circulation, with no reported problems I am aware of, I really don't think the swaybar is a problem.

Luke Sandel has been running the same combo I have (Byrne LCA's/Ed brackets) for one year longer -- perhaps he can provide an 18 month perspective.
