Re: [DML] Re: Anyone ever convert to CNG?

I believe Bill Robertson's current engine was originally setup to run
on propane. I believe he ditched the propane carburetor and is
running on regular gasoline now. I would much rather the easy of
filling up on gasoline anywhere in the country vs having to plan trips
based on where you can or cannot purchase propane.

Everyone has their own opinions but its my belief that if you can't
afford a little money for gasoline and speeding tickets you shouldn't
be driving a Delorean.

> "Converting", actually you can use both gasoline and LPG or CNG. Most installs allow you to switch "on the fly". The more popular (in this country anyway) is CNG. Very commonly used on fork trucks, especially used indoors. The big problem is finding a place to install the tank. Other considerations, you get less gas mileage on CNG or LPG. It will take a while for you to save on the expense of all of the added equipment. There are not a lot of places that can fill the tank. The motor runs better and a LOT cleaner. No gas gauge. No road tax.
