Re: [DML] Slightly rough hot idle

Thanks John,

I can probably pull the injectors this weekend. If I can't clean them up I'll probably be sending them to you for cleaning.

Andy

Andy, Dirty injectors naturally will cause that along with wires and or
lugs. But if the wires and plugs looked good then most likely injectors.

ubject: [DML] Slightly rough hot idle
Hey guys,
Been a long time since I had to troubleshoot an idle problem, so maybe
omeone can remind me where to start!
Last year, and now this year (just started it up this week after sitting all
inter) I've noticed a somewhat rough hot idle. The car starts easy, seeks
or a few seconds as normal when cold, then settles down to a steady idle
round 700 RPM. However, after driving for awhile and the temp gets up,
hen you roll to a stop it warbles and every now and then surges slightly
ike it's going to seek. Then it settles down to a slightly rough idle,
ometimes surging every few seconds.
I recently changed the fuel accumulator, made sure everything was good in
he gas tank, and regapped the plugs (they were all in good shape and didn't
how anything bad last spring).
Any good ideas where to start?
Andy
