[DML] Re: New Test Procedure for K-Jet

You need one that produces pressure, a stage type fog machine won't do that. The one I have is a "Leak Tester" by Motronics made primarily for testing evap systems. It is an old style without a flow meter to measure the size of the leak and it makes 2 psi as opposed to the newer models that have a flow meter so you know if the leak is excessive and the new ones run at 1/2 psi. The one I got off a Snap On dealer who took it back in trade to sell a shop a newer one. The new ones go for $1700. I didn't pay THAT! It is also easy to test for exhaust leaks with it. Just pump the smoke into the exhaust pipe and watch for where it comes out!
