[DML] Re: Carbon fiber louvers - anyone interested?

I sincerely wish I had the cash to throw at this! I had my louvers torn off in '08 thanks to an inept tow truck driver/the wind, but am getting married this year. Though I will be having a lot of work done on my car, this is one thing I'd love to splurge on but can't...sigh. Maybe someday! Definitely interested in this topic though. :)

I showed them our louvers and lower engine cover and asked them about the possibility of making those out of CF. From what they are saying we could lower the weight of louvers by about 50-60% while making the whole assembly a lot stiffer. That means that the lift struts would last a lot longer. Also, they would not crack of break like the original do and no white marks would show up when scratched. You could also say goodbye to fading (carbon will not fade). We could make those with visible carbon fibers or painted original semi gloss black.
