[DML] Re:ANOTHER Electric DeLorean?!



Marty, 

We have seen these pictures of this electric delorean.   What makes this car different from Dave's and mine is the use of an AC drive train.  

AC controllers are $10-20K with the motor. They are using the $20k motor and controller. 

The use of AC allows regenerative braking.  This can increase range 10 - 25%. 

DC drives do not allow regen braking at the typical amps used by cars. 

As for their projected range,  I think it is a little optomistic given the limit battery storage space in a stock D.  If they make the modifications like I have done, it would be more probable.
