RE: [DML] New DOA President & Vice-President

Hi Marc,

I will take a look back at those old posts and see if I can pick out the
questions that weren't answered, and take a crack at them.

In the meantime, I'll answer your question about what you get for your
membership dues. At this time, a $75 membership in the DeLorean Owners
Association includes a one year "DeLorean World" magazine subscription and
discounts to Association shows and merchandise. An additional benefit is
that every member of the Association is invited and encouraged to attend
Board meetings.

Given our resources and history, I see many opportunities to be able to
provide additional benefits for our members, if we can properly align the
organization with the needs of the community. We can accomplish this is
through better communication, which is why I'm pushing board meeting

Between now and November, I plan to organize my thoughts and the input I
have been getting, both public and private from board and association
members, and concerned community advocates like yourself, into a business
plan that can provide a path forward for this organization. The continued
effort to combine forces with DCS and others will no doubt, provide us with
some challenges. However, I don't believe that any are insurmountable. I
will present my plan to the board for review on November 15th. If you'd
like to be involved in this planning, I encourage you to sign up for
membership today at

Hey Josh...

Glad to see this change, I think.... Time will tell.

Not to be a pia your first day on the job, but there were a number of
questions that were posted to this mailing list a year or so ago when Ken
Baker took over. Many of those questions are still unanswered.

As you get settled in your new job, I'd love for you to go back and read
those posts and see if you can answer any of those questions... Most
importantly, What do members get for their $75 per year??

Good luck in your new role. I hope you can turn things around for the DOA.
