[DML] Re: Dash replacement

A few corrections/additions:

You do not need to remove the console, radio, center vents. You can leave the kneepads in place but it's probably better if you don't, at least on the far left one. But it's a really good idea to put a metal plate of some sort over the top of the console so you don't put the studs on the dash through it.

Do not take the defrost vents out. It's not necessary and they are VERY hard to get back in. You also risk dropping the screws down inside the A/C box, that will ruin your day.

You can reach the center nuts more easily if you take the glove box out first.

There are fasteners under the dash pad (you can see them on your new one) that you need to be able to reach from underneath, and getting the new pad in with the studs hanging below is a bit of a chore. You may need to loosen the vent outlets for the demisters to get the pad in, but make sure you have them in place with the screws started because once you get the pad in place, it is almost impossible to get a driver on the screwheads because of the rake of the windshield.
