I've also done an auto-to-manual conversion, and unless you look under 
the gearstick, you won't see any evidence the car was ever an auto - 
that's the nature of the job.

Rich Johsntone actually did the fabrication for his adapter (we did the 
work together on #2727), and unlike #570, has actually been driving the 
car for the past 3 years since the conversion.

The plate was actually pretty straightforward. The drilling of the hole 
for the crossgate cable wasn't with the underbody in the way!
