[DML] Re: Angle Drive installation - tips?



You do not need to loosen the hub bolt to remove the angle drive. I've changed mine 4 times and many other folks drives without doing so. I also don't know why that is in the directions. 

You can also use a 32mm or 1 1/4" open end wrench to remove the angle drive nut.

90 weight gear oil for the lower cable. You can pull it all the way out to lube or just pour some oil with the cable in the outer housing and let gravity do its thing (as you hold & twist it after removing it from the car).
