Perhaps you mean ERM?

VARI was used, producing underbodies that didn't mate up, were next to impossible to align panels on, flex and vibrate on the road, don't hold fasteners worth a darn, and crack in even a mild collision.

As pitiful as our frames are, at least they are made of steel. That's the only thing that gives the cars a fighting chance. Had DMC gone through with ERM, I am convinced every one of our cars would have broken in half decades ago.
