RE: [DML] Re: DeLorean magazines.

You can also do a "PRINT SCREEN" and then import that into Photoshop.
Again, all this security is not the answer.
Making it free and accessible is the answer.
Look at the business models of some of the biggest and most profitable entities
on the web, MySpace, YouTube and Google.
All of them are FREE to use and the content is contributed by the users themselves.
THAT is the future.
Heck, this slow newsgroup we are using which takes almost 24 hours to see your post added
is almost like sending stamped mail!!

Unfortunately, there are multiple programs out that can be downloaded and will open those PDF's back up. I love Acrobat but if you are looking for security, It is not the answer..P.S. I owned several print magazines for many years. We made the entire magazine available online and the advertisers loved it. But we were advertiser supported.Steve#2700----- Original Message ----- From: cbl1739 To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, January 08, 2009 2:56 PMSubject: [DML] Re: DeLorean magazines. What the??? You say there is no way to control downloading??That is TOTALLY WRONG!!In Adobe PDF WRITER format you(the webmaster) CONTROL all facets of the on-line Document, the webmaster can make it wide open,or make it impossible to download or print or copy...if you set it up you would need a password to download or print the document,in other words if the webmaster so desires under security, the person visiting the website could ONLY read and look at the magazine...and NOTHING else.
