[DML] DMA Fall Folaige Tour 08 Details are here!!!

All of the details are here for the Fall Folaige Tour 08:
http://deloreanmid-atlantic.com/events/2008/fft/fft.htm We're having
problems with the site so we're using this link for now until the
problem is fixed.

Details are pasted below as well. This event is for DMA members only.
Membership is only $15/year and you can pay the day of the event. The
discounts we got for this event are far more than the $15 membership
fee! Please take a few minutes and read everything. A LOT of work
went into this one... :)

Get your cars ready and pack your cameras, this is definitely one
event you don't want to miss! The DMA Fall Foliage Tour 08. In 2006,
the Tour began in Morrisville, PA and ended up at the Delaware Water
Gap in PA. I wanted to go up further north, but we simply didn't have
enough time. So this year we're going to start where we left off!
It's Part II of the DMA Fall Foliage Tour 06!!! This is quite
possibly the most scenic and event packed Fall Foliage Tour ever put
together. I did the dry run (or should I say "wet run" thanks to the
Hurricane) this past weekend of the entire route and the scenery is
beyond gorgeous. Every stop is going to be unique in every way, and
the prices are the best yet. In today's economy where all prices are
going through the roof, the DMA FFT event prices have GONE DOWN!!!
Yes, DOWN! For all info, see below.

http://www.gillinderglassstore.com/ We'll take a 1.5hr tour of the
factory and see how glass art is made. Cost is $3. (Please bring cash
to pay for the tour.) The tour is not normally this long, but on this
day specifically, the tour will feature special guest glass artists.
This is a special event at Gillinder Glass and they are coming in

We'll leave Port Jervis at around 1:30 and take a very scenic tour
through NY and the Poconos in PA on our way to Callie's Candies and
Pretzel Factory stores. http://www.calliescandy.com/ You're
definitely going to want to have your cameras fully charged for this
part of the trip. The scenery is amazing.

We'll arrive at Callie's at around 3:30. At Callie's Candies and
Callie's Pretzel factories, you'll see how candy and pretzels are
made. They'll be doing demonstrations for our group. The factories
are about 3 miles apart and you're welcome to go to either place, or
both. There are a lot of interesting places in between the two
Callie's locations so feel free to stop and check out anything you
want.

We'll meet up back at Callie's Candie's to depart for a quick photo
opportunity. (If you're a photographer, you're gonna love this spot!)
It's a surprise!!! :)

Then we're off to dinner at the Fairway Grille
http://www.buckhillfalls.com/Welcome-to-the-Fairway-Grille-at-the-
Buck-Hill-Golf-Club~101481~13235.htm This is a very exclusive Country
Club and the food is amazing and homemade. Just look at the below
menu. (Cost for Dinner is only $25.00. Includes tax & gratuity.

mushroom risotto.
  b) Char-Grilled NY Strip Steak with Pinot Noir Demi and yukon gold

  c) Tuscan Lasagna...smoked chicken, hot sausage, ricotta pesto,
spinach and roasted peppers baked in a bechamel fontina sauce

Dessert and MORE FUN:

After dinner, we're heading over to the Casino Theatre in Mt. Pocono
PA. http://www.casinotheatre.net/ The Casino Theatre is not a
gambling casino, it's a uniquely designed fun place that has TWO full-
size movie theatres (where you can have food or dessert served WHILE
you're watching the movie), over 50 flavors of Hershey's Ice Cream
for dessert, miniature golf, and a game room. They are very excited
to have the DMA there and have been gracious enough to give everyone
that shows up in our group, $5 in free tokens, unlimited miniature
golf (19 holes), and they reduced their movie ticket prices just for
us to only $4!!! These are current movies too! Not only that, but
they've developed a special "DeLorean Sundae" just for the DMA! So
this is not a place to miss! Members can stay as long as they want.
When you're ready to leave, the hotel is just 15min down the road.

Sunday:

We'll leave the hotel at around 9am to go to Shawnee Mountain where
they're holding their annual Balloon Festival.
http://shawneemt.com/fall/timberballoon.htm Everyone that drives
their DeLorean to the Balloon Festival will be able to put it on
display for everyone to see. Everyone that does this will receive
free parking (a $5 value), get into the festival for free (a $20-$24
value for 2 people), and will have a chance at winning a "People's
Choice Award". The winner will receive a prize from Shawnee! (Still
working on the prize details but I can assure you it's gonna be a big
one!) The DeLoreans will be in a sectioned off area in the parking
lot and will be on display to all that attend the festival. You don't
need to stay by your car if you don't want to, but you're more than
welcome to hang out and answer everyone's questions; and we all know
there will be A LOT OF QUESTIONS! Our DMC's will be on display for
thousands of people to enjoy.

You may stay as long or as short as you like at the Balloon Festival.
I have a feeling that the DMA is going to steal the show this year!

This is going to be the best FFT ever. You don't want to be left out
of this one. Book your room and register for dinner asap!

Thanks and see you then!
