RE: [DML] Testing Lambda thermal switch

Paul, I laid 3 lambda sensor on my bench and used a multimeter with a buzzer
continuity tester and the show open on all 3 and on resistance nothing
either. I haven't had time to put them in hot water.

Subject: [DML] Testing Lambda thermal switch

Using the MYDELOREAN.NET How-to guide #19, I get an open circuit
between pin 7 and chassis ground for the test in step 3 with the
engine cold, which indicates a failed switch or wiring. I get open
circuit when the engine is warmed up, which is supposedly correct. How
else can I test the thermal switch without removing the intake
manifold and entering "the valley". I don't believe I have any weird
idling symptoms, except for a little hesitation (like it wants to skip
cylinders) when I press the gas when the engine is cold. Is this a
possible symtom of a bad thermal switch?

Thanks,

Paul
