Re: [DML] Re: DeLorean and Bill Robertson Thoughts

Since I was a big source of all this, I wanted to post that I agree with Marc, Rick, Andy, Martin, etc.

I sometimes forget that not everyone can take the ribbing that we jokingly dish out amongst my local group of DeLorean owners.  I don't have a problem with any of these mods these guys do to their cars; I just have a disagreement about the reasoning and logic.  My "1970" post was supposed to be funny (along with some content), but I forgot how emotional this list gets!  Andy did a much better job with the tact!

I'll meet Farrar and Bill at DCS, and maybe even the dude on dmctalk who called me a "douche bag" after Bill copied my post over there. :-)  We'll all get along fine because I really don't take it all that seriously.  Tone does not travel well through email, so all you guys who are claiming to leave just need to keep that mind.  Besides, we know you're still reading this...

Once you've got the fever, it doesn't go away that easily.  My DeLorean rolled over 88K on the way to work today, so life is good!  I'll look forward to tacking on another couple thousand on my drive to Gettysburg.

This little flood of people saying "I quit the list..." is pretty
curious to me. It seems there's been many more obnoxious arguments in
the past that didn't lead to wholesale ship abandoning by mysterious
lurkers.

At the show, David, Bill, and Martin will probably end up sitting at a
table laughing together, after and afternoon of admiring the same
cars, so why the overreaction to this latest "argument" What's the
big deal?

And for anybody whining about how the show is run, help run it. Pick
up a table, carry some soda pop, judge some cars, give someone a tow.
Go sit in the dunking booth.

I encourage anybody who "left" to come back any time. I "left" once
too over some stupidity I don't even remember. Nobody said "leavers
aren't welcome here" when I slunk back.

Rick.
