[DML] Re: Another "Famous" DeLorean Roll-over (was: only one DeLorean flip-over)

Although the riot-flipped DeLorean has been mentioned here
on the list several times (possibly even with a photo link)
the car that was "Rolled" while being driven and was talked
about extensively here and in several DeLorean publications
was crashed several years ago in central Illinois. This is
the "Crash" car used in the "Crash and Burn" project.

For those of you who regularly read this forum over the past
few years would certainly know about this car and project.

Here is a link to photos I took of the this roll-over car
the day after the accident. I covered it after the photos
with a spare car cover I had. Little did I know then that
I would work on this car in a few years for the C&B project.

As Dave mentions on the page, when we disassembled the car,
there was no evidence of TAB failure, but something like
this could happen due to a TAB failure, so make sure to
inspect your TAB's regularly, especially before long trips.

DeLorean Midwest Connection is having their Tech Day this
Saturday at DMC Midwest (complete with Free TAB inspections)
and DCS 2008 is only about 6 weeks away, so plan to inspect
your TAB's this weekend or sometime in the next few weeks.

See you at DCS 2008.

Later,
Rich W.
